The American Venous Forum condemns the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russia. As a result of this aggression, thousands of innocent lives are being lost and millions of Ukrainian citizens are being displaced from their families, homes and communities – even their homeland. As a global medical society with hundreds of members from around the world, we stand for peace, we stand for understanding and collaboration, and we stand for healing. We are an organization of scientists, educators, and healers who believe that science and health should unite people in order to create a better, healthier, and more prosperous world. It is our plea that these hostilities end quickly so that more lives will not be lost and no more war-caused injuries and displacements will occur. Along with millions of doctors from around the world, we pray for the citizens of Ukraine and we pray for peace.
